Child Welfare Supervisor Professional Development

Training Redesign Workshop: What Supervisors Need to Know

The purpose of this workshop is to familiarize supervisors with the new professional development structure for caseworkers in their first year of employment. The workshop emphasizes the critical role supervisors play in the professional development of new caseworkers. We will include an overview of caseworker competencies and how they are applied to training and professional development. Supervisors will learn more about tools and supports that they can use to advance a caseworker's growth and development. Along with this will be hands-on activities to help supervisors use the support tools and trainee portfolios of learning.

All training locations will offer two half-day sessions.

The morning session will begin at 8:30 AM, and the afternoon session will begin at 1:00 PM.
